The Ziath AV6 scanner has been developed for clients whose scanning needs might require reading of tubes seated a greater distance than usual from the screen.  This can happen with some racked tubes due to the build up of frost around the tubes, when stored frozen. The AV6 can read tubes sat fully in the rack or slightly elevated, up to several millimeters above it. Hence the “deep focus” quality of this instrument.  With only a few minutes needed for configuration of our DataPaq™ software, you’ll be ready to start scanning in no time at all.

Cryoprotective Coating to Eliminate Condensation

The AV6 scanner is also available with cryoprotective proofing, to avoid condensation build-up within the scanner. Condensation can prevent the scanner from reading the 2D barcodes properly. A one-time automatic calibration means that you’ll then be set up and ready to read any, and all tubes. The AV6 also offers straightforward data export to Excel, XML and text, as well as all of the most popular database systems. Our AV6 is fully integratable into robotics platforms. Base plates for platforms such as the TECAN Evo, and others, are available.
